NITE LITE BINOCULAR TELESCOPES
There is………………………………

No substitute for binocular vision……
This site is about the wonders of visual astronomy using both eyes – the “how to” link details with many images my construction of a 12 inch binocular during the fall and winter of 2004 – total construction time less than 70 hours and total cost just over $1500. It is made with readily available materials and can be built with only hand tools. There are no optical compromises and it is intuitive and easy to use and transport. The cross axis convergence device I “thought up” some years ago has proved to be a superior means of adjusting a reflecting binocular. If you are considering building a binocular, please take the time to study the build log and please send me email with questions or comment. The darn thing really works and is rock solid at 250x - the views have to be seen!
Clear Skies!
